And that’s just the professional side. The truth is, we’ve spent the last decade living and breathing wine. First importing. Then distributing. Then retail. For six years, we guided clients through thousands of bottles at our wine shop. Now, we pour. clos[er] is the natural next step — built on direct grower relationships, obsessive tasting, and a clear point of view. No middle layers. Just the wines we believe in — and you.

We work exclusively with small, independent producers — people who farm with intent and make wine without shortcuts. Every bottle on our list comes from a winery we trust, many of whom we’ve known for years. The focus is Portugal, but you’ll also find benchmarks from Chablis, Piedmont, Sicily, and the Rhône, amongst others. No filler, no trends. Just serious wines with identity and a clear sense of place. We offer 12 wines by the glass daily and renewed weekly, alongside a 320+ list of by the bottle labels.
